From collecting coca-cola pogs to mating blue & pink kisses, from bike rides with friends to collecting spiders on trees for spider fighting, Death of Nintendo (2020) dir. Raya Martin takes you back to a 90s nostalgia trip of how summers are spent growing up with friends.

The film opens with the hype of the Family Computer and was set in Zambales before an Mt. Pinatubo eruption in 1991, and as the story progresses, we are walking down a path of never forgotten experiences of childhood before transitioning to a digital age.

While the film has voids to fill in for improvement especially with its dialogues, its attempt to narrate a story of a reminiscent decade would surely make you want to go back to those blissful days.
